Ok guys I come to you desperate, I bought a crx with a blown engine and a spare one, the spare is from an automatic. I had little trouble removing the flywheel bolts but the flex plate bolts on the auto engine wont budge, I tried everything, heat, cold, wd40, hammering, air chizel, impact gun etc.
I need to know if cutting the bolt head and removing the flex plate will relieve the pressure on the threads? and then use some pliers or something

 

Make sure your using a 12 point 17mm socket. Must be a short socket and you must not use a extension.

Dont cut the heads itll be 10x harder to do without a head bro.... go to autozone and get a cheap bottle of automatic tranny fluid and pour some caps around there. let it sit over night.

Spray wd40 also if you want...

Make sure you have a good strong gun and enough air in your compressor. hit the bolts a few times forward (do not hold trigger) just tapp it then put it in reverse and hold it. untill it budges.

Good luck. if you have a small compressor you probably wont be successful so take the motor to your local goodyear.firestone, etc ask the mechanics who has the strongest gun.
