Default CTR pistons have 25 written on top of them???....they're supposed to be standard bore. Are they?

I don't have an outside mic so I can't measure them. The 25 is written on top of all 4 of the pistons. What does this mean? The person I bought them from said that they were standard and they came in the factory box?

the 25 stands for their 25thou oversize piston.

those are not standard bore pistons...

to get the best life/performace out of that engine you should have it over-bored and honed with those pistons and new rings. it will guarentee a perfect ring seal and no oil consumption problems down the road.

just make sure the rings you have are the over sized ones for those pistons as well.....

Cool. The block I was going to use has a fresh hone but is still 81mm. I guess I am going to have to make another trip to the machine shop!!!!! is 13021-pr3-004 the part # for the oversized rings(81.25mm)?

PR3 is not a CTR piston. It is a stock Gen 1 B16A Piston (10.2:1 compression)

You're an idiot!!! that is a piston RING part number. All b series pistons(except b20) use the same rings they just vary in size. If you don't know what you are talking about stay off of my threads!!!!!

I'm the idiot? Your the one asking if a 81.25 mm piston will fit in a 81mm hole. Geee I wonder. I think if you go to Arias and have them machine you a Square piston it will fit to.

Secondly Why don't you teach yourself how to burn a chip. It's not that hard. A little brain power and some reading and you should be able to do that.
Though your trying to but a piston in hole to small.

Oh and the CTR/ITR piston rings are different then regular PR3 or P30 or P72 Rings. But you knew that too.

Next time don't try to be such an *** and you might further.

his question was more towards the scribe on the piston, he came to his own conclusion that the 25 meant .25mm over. People need to chill. was a simple question that got a simple answer!

what motor is this going in???

i just got done doing the exact same thing to my b16. keep the oversized pistons and bore the block like it was said above. itll give you fresh cylinder walls.

just for the record, i do believe that is the part number. it definatly does say PR3 in it.

1). B18a (not LSVTEC)

2). The part # is correct. People just try to be smartasses and then find out that they are wrong
