Default CTR cams w/JG cam gears...problem!!!!!!!!

i just intalled my ctr cams in a b16 and i had the JG cam gears on before. just to be on the safe side, i set the gears to zero, and i put the engine on TDC. now the gears are wierd....they have one line and one dot on each sproket. I alligned both of the lines to the TDC mark. now im not sure if it was the lines or the dots that i was supposed to allign, but now when i drive the car it feels almost as if the engine wants to turn off at idle. i messed with the timing, and its almost fully advanced. please help....im scared i might have bent some valves. TIA

Sounds like the belt may be off by one tooth if you have maxed out the timing and the car isn't running quite right.

Default hmmm

well the lines on the sprockets are almost paralell. the intake side is slightly lower than the exhaust side. if i move it up a tooth, the lines will be like half a tooth off. should i still move it?
