cruise control in a '90 crx
hello everyone,
im adding the cruise control in my car and i already have the cc stick inside and i just found theres some wires which i think was used for the cruise control (no pics right now), my question is this: after i get the servo do i need the intake w/the little wheels for the cruise off of say an accord that has cruise control or can i just grab the little wheels off the intake and install them on my intake (which isnt the carburated model)?

did these cars come with cruise as an option? the closest thing to you would be the third generation accord, 86-89 they use a specific set of pedals with an arm that the cable for the vaccume solenoid attaches to, you will need the special brake switch, with the two circuits, and the clutch switch if you dont have one, I'm sure the accord brake switch will screw right in, one of the critical pieces, is the speed pulser in the speedometer head, this tells the cruise how fast the car is actually moving. If these cars came with an optional cruise control, I'm sure it's very close to the accord setup. the Accord cruise module can't use a VSS, as a VSS output is 5 volts, and the module is designed for a grounding pulse, not voltage. this is a lot more complicated then you think it is, I did this for my 86 Accord, but never finished it, as I decided I didnt want to have cruise
