Default crank pulley wobbling? help...

i noticed on a friends car that her oem b18c crank pulley looks as if its wobbling a little bit.. the timing belt was replaced about 10k miles ago.. it had a chip or 2 in it also and i think that might be whats causing it.. could this do any damage to the motor? the car drives fine and has no problems at all.. i think i might just find her a new one w/ out a chip in it put it on..

Tell her to stop driving it NOW!!!!! If it comes off it can ruin the end of the crank where it is attached! Believe me, this same thing happened to my B16. The key way was torn up and the threads where the crank pulley bolt goes in were totally destroyed! Park that car and take a good look at it! Replace the pulley, the key and the bolt. Fix this before it gets worse!

Yep, stop driving it now. The wobbling pulley can also excite harmonics of the crank and destroy your oil pump, thus destroying the engine.

reasons why its wobbeling.

offbalance because of the chips in it

no tightened down enough so its loose.

crank bearing is crap

I've encountered near to the same problem, except mine has wobbled almost compeltely off. threw my belts, minus the alt belt, tried wrenching it on but it didn't work. we impacted it back on and that seemed to work fine, but the same problem happened again, Any ideas what it may be? do i just need to replace the bolt, pulley, and key or might it be something more or less?
