Default crank fluctuation sensor

i recently converted from obd2b-obd1 and im getting code 54-crank fluctuation sensor. i thought the crank fluctuation sensor was only on obd2, why would my p28 read this cel?

i searched and it doesnt effect performance or anything right?

but the weird thing is, when i turn on my car i get a solid cel, and when i jump it to read the code (while the car is off) the abs light blinks 8long and 1short. but there isnt a code 81?? but when i turn on the car and leave it "jumped" the cel blinks and it read code 54. could it be my harness?

Your ABS has stored code 8-1. Sticky thread at the top of the Integra forum has a list of ABS codes, but they're different for some years, maybe those are only for Integras. I got that out of a Helm book, so you can find them there, too.

8-long, pause, 1-short might be code 80 & code 1??

Is it a Civic? Accord? Ford Pinto? What year?

On my '95 Integra, ABS code 8-1 usually means your ABS computer is fried. Unless you can find some broken/loose/corroded wiring somewhere.

I can only guess that it's similar to the '98+ list that's in that Integra sticky thread. Code 81 is an ABS computer failure.
