Default Crank balancing necessary?

I'm building my lsvtec and i'm wondering is it necessary to balance the crank? I've heard both from friends so i thought i'd ask here. I've already searched

if your motor is dissassembled you might as well wend it out to Laskey Racing to have it micro/balanced for $150 shipped back to you

After balancing a lot of Honda cranks for customers I would say it's not really necessary.They are so close from the factory that I wouldn't bother.
