Default Crank angle sensor (obd2)

What type of problem will I encounter if I didn't use this sensor with a obd2 ecu?

Im pretty sure the ECU needs to know where the crank is to know where the engine is in the stroke.

So if you convert your car to obd1 you dont need the ckf any more? I thought you had to change the distributor or some ****? I hope you don't need it anymore because i hate that f*ckin thing.

if you just use a "jumper harness" and an OBD1 computer your "under the hood" harness stays the same so you keep your distributer (sorry)...the jumper harness plugs in where your stock computer plugs in and then connects to the OBD1 computer.....this is the easiest way to tune also...and no you wont need the crank angle sensor anymore.

Just wire the crank angle sensor to the cam angle sensor. I've done it several time with no performance problems

Hi. i actually found this thread very helpful... i have a obd2 engine in my 94 cx hatch. im using the stock obd1 harness that was on the 1.5 l motor. i am running a obd1 ecu, i had to run knock sensor, vtec wires and o2 sensor. as fasr as the crank sensor, i did not need it since my obd1 ecu wont look for it. so i just clipped the wires, and runs fine. no codes...
