I may be mistaken here so don't quote me as gospel, but I think one dial is for the digital rev limiter and the other is for boost retard. It's been awhile since I messed with a crane ignition though. Is that the HI6 you got?

I haven't gotten it yet, i just wanted to check which one comes with the 2-step. Does anybody know the part number for the crane cam ignition that comes with the 2-step?

The 2 dials are for the single-stage rev-limiter. The left one is for "1000" rpm range and the right is for "100" rpm range. That means if you set your left one to 8 and right one to 5 then your spark cutoff will be 8500 rpm.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I am bumping this one!

Can you use a Crane Cams Hi-6 PN 6000-6420 as a two step? Any way to make it work.. or is it a lost cause??

dont think so... I think that their two step option had a "TR" in the part number or something.. the basic ignitions dont have it.

Darn, Thanks for the info.. My friend picked one of these up from someone and he was wanting to use it for 2-step. Oh well.
