Is this the cover to get access to the Flywheel teeth?
I need to shove something inby the flywheel to lock it in place, so that i can break the crank pulley bolt loose. Is this what everyone is talking about?
I've labeled the where the header and trannie are, and I circled the thing that I think needs to come off.

I think it's about 4-5 bolts and that bracket that goes from that plate to the block, which is kinda behind the header. Some one point me in the right direction.

i'm pretty damn sure that yes, behind that plate is the flywheel. i think they call it an inspection plate. as far as breaking the crank pulley loose, what i do is the following. i just jack up one side (the driver's side of course) of the car, and leave the passenger side on the ground, wheel on and everything. then put the car in gear, and grab a breaker bar and break the pulley loose. its been working for me very well, just make sure the car is VERY WELL SUPPORTED on jack stands, cuz the torque you are creating can make the car move a bit.
