cooling system...

Default cooling system...

when im driving like for a long time or lets just say if i drive my car too much around it start geting hot,it overheat,but when i turn on the heater it goes back down, is that my thermostat thats is going bad?

It could be the thermostat...

If one of the hoses to your radiator is cold and the other is hot it's your themostat... if not then it's a cooling problem.

check your coolant level

You may also have air in the system.

Actually, I think I read somewhere that that is 100% normal. They said that turning the heater on, actually cools down their engine.

yes, the heater helps the cooling system, but its not normal it shouldnt be overheating. as they sayd before check for air in the system, thermostat, and make sure coolant is full.oh yeah water pump might be going bad

i was cheking everything today and it was something so simple....lol
my fan wasnt turning on.i fixed it and now its not overheating hopefully it stays like that.if not i tell you guys what happened.

do you guys know what turns the fan on? is it the thermostat? or does it have some kind of temp gauge that when temp reach a certain point, it sets the fan on?
