coolent sensor question

Icon2 coolent sensor question

My coolent sensor on my 92 da integra has seen its last day i was wondering if all early 90s coolent sensors are the same as i have one off of a 94 accord lx the connector seems to be the same I'm wondering if i can use it instead of buying a new one.

Which coolant sensor? There are basically 3: one for the fan switch (round two prong plug, Accords have two of these) on the thermostat housing, one for the temp gauge (1 wire connector) on the side of the head, one for the ECU (round two prong plug) beside the one pin plug on the side of the head. How do you know yours is bad?

Actually there is only one ECT sensor, the others are the ECT switch, and ECT sending unit.

ECT sensor, supplies info to the ECU/ECM.
ECT switch, controls rad fan relay.
ECT sending unit controls cluster temp. gauge.

However I do understand the need for clearity of exacty what ECT OP is askink about.94
