The other day I was working around my headlight. I removed the coolant reservoir and placed it on top of my header. After I was done i just shut the hood. After I drove for about 10 minutes I remembered I didnt put the reservoir back . I burned the **** out of the reservoir and there was a big *** hole in it. Anyone know where I can get a replacement online maybe. I dont need the car right away so dont mind waiting for it to come in the mail and i think the dealer will charge an arm and a leg. BTW anyone know how much these run for. Its for an gen 3 teg. I went to autozone and stuff to find a universal one but they were all kinda big. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

 

Maybe you could try a scrap yard. i doubt that many people go through scrap yards looking for resevoirs so there's a good chance you would find one.

 

yea... all the ones near my place dont even have integras... if they do its very rare. anyone else??? btw, do you think i can drive without it? how long can i drive without the coolant?

That's the GSR one, i wasn't sure what to look for. You might try back tracking through the site if that's not the one you need. Usually their stuff is pretty resonable. What's your exact model?
We have a junkyard here in my area called Honda Heaven, they've got all sorts of goodies. I should be going out there soon, i can take a look.

 

ic, how soon? I dont need my car during the week but need it for work on the weekend. I do have an integra GSR. I think they should all be the same size, no? If you could check for me that would be great. but i need this crap. How long do you think I can drive without coolant?

 

Well if it's the part i'm thinking you're missing then it's just the overflow bottle, i.e not a very important piece.

I probably won't make it to the yard until this weekend, but i'll keep you updated.

Just to be sure: this is the coolant reservoir for a 3[sup]rd[/sup] gen GSR, correct? Do you still have the hose and bracket and all the other misc hardware that attaches to it?

I put a civic resevoir in my g2 teg because it was smaller = lighter...don't know if this is an option for your g3, though
