Default Coolant in block...

Had coolant spilling out from where the head and block meets. I think I might have a head gasket leak, took off the head, and found out that I have some coolant that went into my block. Drained all the coolant and oil out. Would there be a big problem if the coolant went into my block???

ahh there is suppose to be coolant passages in the block. that's why you have coolant in the block.

are you saying it got in the cylinders ? if so it can hurt it by washing you cylinder walls if you still got the head off I would try oiling everything up real good ,put new oil in it and change it again soon so it gets all the coolant out

am sure someone else will have a comment
