i have a question about my motor, when i start it it catches and then it cuts of after i do that about 7 or 8 times then it will start to run a little bit, but its skipping like its running off of 2 cylinders and if i push the gas a little bit it will start to pop like its back firing or someting, but when i had the down pipe off it sounds like it runs fine could the catalic converter make it do that or what could cause it, and it does not smoke at all.

 

that sounding like a misfire. Check your cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Your cat nothing to do with this. Did you get a CEL?

 

yes i did get a cel i know one of them is 6 and the other i think it is 11 because it came on for a second and agin and then once realy fast but i dont know, i pulled each plug wire out and they are firing realy hard.
