comptech sway/tie bar install - knocking noise
just did the comptech sway/tie bar install, and now I'm getting a strange knocking noise from the rear. I was careful to tighten everything according to spec.
I also have ground controls sitting on Bilsteins, and I lowered the GCs an extra 1/4" after the sway bar install. Not sure which is causing the knock.
Anybody have a similar experience with either setup?
thanks.

no, it doesn't appear to be. I seem to hear the knocking noise on both sides. I can even make the noise happen (sometimes) by jerking the wheel to each side.
It can even happen at very slow speed - driveway speed, say. I'm wondering if something is just binding up, perhaps the end links or the bar within the bushing for example.
I don't notice any performance problems. In fact, the handling feels great.

my exhaust (apexi ws) rattled up on my rear sway bar.. and it was stock.. would be worse if it was bigger.. couldnt tell when the car was jacked up cause it was relieved of pressure...
wiggle your exhaust back and forth maybe

hey thanks, Pupa. I'm noticing today that it's quiet over 30 or 40mph. In fact, I seem to only hear it at fairly slow speeds. Is that your experience too?

that noise would be your endlinks.
it makes that knocking noise.
I THINK comptech might have some replacement or new endlinks. call them to find out what you can do exactly

Comptech adjustable endlinks are known to be "noisy" due to the spherical bearing binding. Comptech is coming out with new and improved endlinks and I've also heard they are testing the sway bars with OEM style endlinks as well to remedy the problem.
