Squeaking noise after sway/tie bar install.
Just installed my ITR 22mm sway bar and Benen tie bar on my 97 EX. The car handles and drive great, but right after installing it, there was a squeaking noise coming from the rear of the car. I only hear the noise when going over bumps/getting in and out of the car etc. It sounds like its coming from the tophats..but i cant really pinpoint the sound. Also i just installed Tein Basic kit about 2 weeks ago so my struts aren't bad, noise only started after sway/tie bar install. Didn't know if anyone else has had this problem with this install?
edit: im also using the beaks kit and brand new SI endlinks
Thanks

I was thinking I might not have put enough on there, because when i was applying the grease it started raining....so i was kind of in a hurry to put the bar on. I do have brand new swaybar mounts and polyurethane bushings...If i didnt put enough grease on the polyurethane bushing could that cause this?

You didn't grease the bushings enough. My buddy had the Comtech sway on his car and it sounded like a bunch of mice were having an orgy in his trunk.

I was going to install mine after work today. What type of grease should I use? I totally forgot the Comptech uses poly bushings...

you the guy that bought my rear lower tie? anyways, could be that you need more grease on the sway bushings. However squeaking from the rear is also a sign of bad trailing arm bushings. So check those as well.

Yeah i am...Now that i think about it i know i didnt grease my swaybar bushings enough...i know my trailing arm bushings are good b/c because I checked the ITR trailing arms thoroughly before i put em on. My "new" question was...Is there anyway i can grease my bushings properly without taking the whole setup off?
Thanks

why would the whole setup have to come off? Just pop off the bracket and bushing. Lube it up, and reinstall. Do one side at a time.

I should have rephrased my question...the bracket is hooked up to my beaks kit....which is hooked to my subframe. The same bolt goes through the whole subframe setup. All im saying is there anyway of getting past all of this in order to grease the bushings? Im thinking there isn't but i thought i would ask.

ah, i see. no. no way to lube it properly. IIRC, the ES poly bushings have a groove in them to hold grease.

urrggghh...So Im gonna have to uninstall swaybar/beaks kit- use half the tube of grease on the groove for one bushing and use the other half on the other bushing- reinstall swaybar/beaks kit etc.....then my problem is solved?

That sucks...
I installed mine the other day, and I used marine grease from Castrol that I found at a parts store. Worked great, no squeaks.
