I did on a cold engine, then on a hot immediately afterwards. I cranked it 6 revolutions. Tell me your suggestions. Original complaint is that I use a lot of oil, blue smoke on acceleration, sometimes light smoke when idling. Power seems strong. I havent noticed any power drop. Plugs looked better now that I have replaced valve seals and new coil. Before they were a sooty black, now they are just dark. These are new plugs and wires after doing my valve seals about a month ago. Middle two plugs were slighly wet, smelled like fuel, even though I havnt driven this car in about 9 days. I think I know what I need to know what needs to be done, just verifying with a general consensus. Unknown miles on this 96 B18C. Thanks fellas.

Cspeed racing states 200 psi is acceptable, which is the only specs I have found so far for a B18C. Im still googling etc. Thanks fellas

Compression tests tell you NOTHING about the condition of the oil control rings. You can have good compression and have worn or stuck oil rings. Since you have burning oil on acceleration and idling, it's almost certainly your oil rings. The extra labor spent on just replacing the valve stem seals was wasted. This should have been a rebuild from the start if the goal is to solve major oil consumption.

I did the valve seals with the head still installed via air pressure. Being how it was smoking first thing in the morning, I was hoping it was my only problem. As atomic stated, I was asking since my compression is still acceptable, if it would be the oil rings. regardless now it looks like a teardown.
Guess im gonna start piecing together my engine
