Default Just did compression test..

205 205 215 235

Not sure why the fourth cylinder is a lot higher than the others.
I noticed greyish smoke at WOT and vtec occasionallly which is why I did the test.
I also noticed oil along the threads of all four spark plugs. Recently removed my valve cover but I sealed the o-rings with high temp RTV so I doubt it's leaking from here. Could it be bad rings? If so are my numbers indicitive of that? Thanks in advance.

I was thinking that my rings may be bad which is why there is oil on the threads of the spark plugs BUT if that was really the case then wouldn't the electrodes be soaked in oil as well?

your #'s are ok; cyl. # 4 might just have carbon buildup on it, buy soem seafoam and use it.
the spark plug prolly has oil on the threads because of a leaking valve cover O-ring gasket.

If the o-ring gasket was bad or worn, wouldn't oil be on the white part and the walls of the spark plug well and NOT on the thread? If there is oil on the thread I would think that the oil would be comming from bottom (combustion chamber) not the top. The wierd thing is there isn't any oil on the electrodes... if it were comming from the bottom then i would think they would be wet as well

hehe, if you would be leaking so much oil through the rings or hg. and leaking from the combustion chamber to the spark plug threads, then that cyl. would be useless; meaning you would burn LOTS of oil and foul spark plugs.

Hmm... well I DO spit out some greyish smoke at WOT and higher rpm's... I just don't see how oil from the top can get the threads since the thread is below where the oil can reach down into... I checked the o-ring gaskets and they are like new. I guess I can get new ones anyway..

well, just think about it.. if you had that much oil on the combustion chamber that it would seep it to the spark plug threads like that the car would run like ****...you would eventually foul plugs.
