Default Compressing Rear caliper piston

alright, i might be a bit retarded, but i pulled my rear caliper to replace pads a couple weeks ago, and could not get the piston to compress.

am i missing something with the parking brake? Helms didn't seem too helpful.

any info appreciated.

I don't have rear disc's yet but I do recall that you actually have to turn the piston counter clockwise, since they don't compress like the front. hth
