cold air intake on a vtec not good for it???

Default cold air intake on a vtec not good for it???

my neighbor told me its not really good to run a cold air intake on a vtec because vtec are suppose to run at a higher temperature than any other engine. i dont know if its true.. i run a cold air intake in my gsr and on very cold nights that **** cracks vtec like a bat outta hell....

Your neighbor doesn' t know what he's talking about. Cooler air means denser air. Denser air means more bat outta hell(more power).

hey well im pretty sure they make a shield for the intake? i need to invest in one. by the way i need to change my air filter. should i go for a k&N i think their like 45 50 buck but their also washable...

ANY engine can benefit from colder air. and an intake isnt going to effect how hot/cold an engine runs. that's what the cooling system is for.
