Default coil woes...

so i was driving my car today, and it started running very poorly and stopped idling. so i limped it home, and pulled out my coil wire, and it was completely corroded in the coil, and broke upon removal. im thinking this is the cause of my problems...im using an accell coil and i went to the auto parts store and bought one of those universal coil wires, but it fits like crap and the crimping tool they give you is useless unless you have 4 arms to work with. i tried it, and now the car wont run for anything. i have a VERY small amount of cash to deal with this problem, so does anybody know of a cheap set of spark plug wires that comes with a coil wire. its a jdm h22a turbo, and they wanted like 60 bux for the h22 set, which i just dont have. i looked at accord ones for 20bux, but they didnt come with the coil wire. any suggestions?

Most parts stores have miscellaneous ignition wires in the back. Just ask to have a look at them and pick the one that's closest to the right length. They may also have MSD or Accel cut & crimp wires where you can cut the wire to fit and attach the terminals to the ends yourself. Make sure to use a plug wire boot grease to avoid corrosion in the future.

well, i just re-crimped the wire, and reinstalled it, but it still runs like poo, and wont idle. its running ultra-rich/lots of smoke out the tailpipe, so how can i check other dizzy parts without spending money throwing more parts at it. tools are somewhat limited though, as i am stranded at home.

well, i just jump started the car using my dad's van and it ran pretty good....took it out on a lil test drive, and it was ok. i have my battery in the trunk, and my regular one died, so i put in a used battery i had off a tundra, and it worked, unfortunately, it didnt fit in my battery box. so i just took a stock honda box, cut it up, but it didnt hold, cuz the battery flipped on its side and leaked all over (i got laid off, so money is very hard to come by....i dont normally do these things). so i think im gonna pick up a new battery tomorrow, one that fits in my battery box, and hopefully this issue will be resolved.
