Coil On Plug ignition systems.
I've been fighting terrible ignition problems with the MSD digital 6 plus box. Apparently it doesn't correspond well with the AEM EMS. Many people have been fighting this problem as well. High RPM missfiring occurs and brings rev limits down to 7000RPM. Now I have switched to a Coil on Plug ignition system using the AEM 4 Channel ignitin box using 4 MSD Blaster SS coils. This solved the problem and the car runs very well. I have not had a misfire in the upper RPM range since. This problem kept me from coming out to BOTI in Bakersfield. I'll be running the IDRC event at Palmdale if all goes well. Heres a pic below of the setup. There are alot more pictures as well as more description on the ms1motorsports.com forum. It's free to join. Heres the link. http://s8.invisionfree.com/MS1...x.php?.

looks nice man, glad to here it's working for ya. I also had a problem with my Digital 6 Plus and AEM EMS together but didn't know it was a common thing.....your new setup looks pretty inviting, I might have to try something similar. How dificult was is to get it all installed and up and running? Also, what's up with the distributor?...just leave it there?
Looks good.
I have a digital 7 and I never had a chance to run it with my aem before I tore my motor down. Once the new setup is running I'm going to run the 954rr motorcycle coils. Hope you run some good time at the event. Whats your set-up if you dont mind me asking?

Its pretty easy to do if your good with wiring and have messed around with the aem program before. The aem forum has a few topics on this that give a lot of info on how to convert to COP. Also for the dizzy, you need it there for a cam/crank reference point signal. You can completely eliminate the dizzy if you run some kinda of cam trigger.

LOL. No, the Digital 6 doesn't work well with anything. It's just a big pile of ****. I can't believe people still buy them, let alone run them on race cars. I would let one of those come near my street car. The quality control on the Digital 6 is worse than Ford.
