Well who manufactured your coilovers? Which dampers are you trying to use them with? If they're sleeves then the instructions vary depending on the dampers you're installing them with. Try contacting the manufacturer or taking them to a suspension shop.

quesion: I just received my coilovers in the mail, it came with all the parts to install.. I was wondering if I need aftermarket shocks to do a 1-2" drop, or can i use my existing stock shocks/struts?

will my ride change dramatically? or just a lil rougher?

You can almost certainly use the stock dampers, though they'll likely not last too long with a 2" drop. As far as your ride, that will depend on the specific spring rates of your springs, and the ability of your dampers to well...damp your springs at whatever ride height you end up with.
