Default 01-05 Spring Opinion

My buddy has an 03 Civic and he is looking to change from coilovers to springs and wanted to know of other opinons on what type of springs to use for his ride I suggested Tien S-Tech or H&R springs but told him I would ask others. He currently roles on some SPW Coilovers with 17's on his ride and just got some new shocks I think the shocks are monroe. If you could help him out it would be great!!! Cause I wont ride in his car cause of how bouncy it is.

H&R sports are stiffer than S-techs, S-techs will give you stock comfort while lowering the car 1.4 inches... I use H&R sports myself, they've been with my stock shocks for 6 months, no sign of them going bad yet. The ride is pretty good, a little stiffer than stock, not really bouncy.

I think the H&R's are way to soft IMO, they are a little harder than stock, but after owning an H&R race'd CRX, there's still a lot of body roll in hard cornering.

Give us more info on your ride preference.

PS. The H&R's lower 1.3" front and rear.

of course, springs wont be sufficient if you plan on driving your car hard + trying to get performance out of it... thats what full coilovers are for.

if its for show 1.3" might not be enough drop, it gives quite a bit gap in the fenders.

I've heard nothing but good reviews about Tein S-techs. I'm gonna be shopping for a set in a few weeks. My friends got a set on stock shocks on his 04 civic. Ride is not too far off from stock but enough to notice.
