Code 7 tps.

I have a soft code 7 TPS. Isn't this CEL supposed to be a hard code that activates the check engine light? My code is only visible when I jump the code checker thing.

if your car starts jerking while shifting into gears from a complete stop then you indeed have a tps problem...when your driving on a open highway you dont get any jerking even with a code 7...!!!
