Hey guys Im not sure to put this at so Im putting here. I have a set of the orignal steel avid mounts with the orange bushings and they cracked. I called the guys at avid and they said they r going to send me the new billet set for half price. So i paided them a month ago and still no mounts. I keep calling and they claim they are in transit but not in the office to give me the tracking number. It seems like they are scamming me. Any one else have this trouble with them.

 

I never liked the avid mounts, event the newer ones. Good luck with it, usually starting a thread like this yields faster service!

 

I'm currently waiting on a set of Avid solid mounts (I haven't been waiting as long as you have though).

That's easy for you to say, you're not the one waiting on mounts with cash out of pocket twice, because the first mounts cracked. Waiting a month on a set of motor mounts is ridiculous, especially when they won't give you any sort of response. I'm in the market for a set of mounts and just read through a few posts so far and "the poly insert cracked" seems to be the common theme with Avid, along with the wait times... no way.

 

well they r still tring to rip me off, i called 2 weeks ago and he said he was sick of dealing with me and was refunding my money cause i was not a patient customer lol and i would have it back in my account in 2 days. I called him today because I didnt get my refund yet. He claimed he tried to refund me 2 weeks ago but he says he has no record of my order even though I have proof on my bank statement that he did. So I called my bank and they filed a dispute against AVID RACING to get my money back. I ordered a set of Hasport mount and recieved them 3 days later. I will never do business with AVID RACING again.

 

I suggest if you didnt get ur mounts yet to call and start asking what is taking soo long man

i know that they just moved into a new shop so that might be part of the hold up i dunno i bought a turbo off franklin and got it within a week or so

 

yea i know they moved too but come on they take ur money and a month later still not shipped or tracking number and then to say ur going to refund money but they have no record of the purchase even though its on my statement.
