Default Code 45.. help

7 days ago I performed my first valve adj. on my Si. I let the motor sit for 2 hours with a fan on it to get the temp. below 100 deg. I guess this didnt work. Today, I was just crusing and the CEL popped on. I was like what the , pulled over and the car stalled. Poked around under the hood checked the usual and nothing. I checked the code and it was code 45, which is mainly a rich or lean condition. I check my FPR and its still within spec. Another possible code 45 is what do you know, Valve clearance! When I first started my car after the valve adj. is made a pulsating sounds during idle, but sorda went away so i didnt worry about it. Now it does it hardcore and stalls alot. This is the valve clearance correct? Im gonna let the car sit over night and start the valves over again tommorow on a cold motor. Just making sure here....

The ideal way to check valve clearances is after the engine has been allowed to cool completely, ideally overnight. This is partially dependant on the type of climate in which you live. When in doubt, set your valve clearances in the middle ground between minimum and maximum spec. Most Honda engines call for between .007 to .009 intake and .009 to .011 exhaust, the middle ground being .008 intake/.010 exhaust. If you live in an area where temperatures are consistently above 70 degrees F,you may want to set your clearances to maximum spec to allow for the thermal expansion of the valvetrain.

Honda states clearances at 100 degrees F or less- check your hood sticker for specs.

wow this isnt helping here.
Specs are...
In: .06-.07
Ex. .07-.08

Anyway, I checked the lash tonight and didnt fix the pulsating idle sound. Tad better I think but its not fixed. CEL hasent come back on though, yet.
