A code 45 is System Too Lean or Too Rich malfunction in the fuel monitoring systems.
What componets are in the fuel monitoring systems.

There exists fuel trim parameters called Long Term and Short Term Fuel Trim. When the LTFT reaches its limit of +/- 20%, you will get this code. This parameter is adjusted based on O2 sensor feedback. If the O2 is showing a constantly rich mixture (or lean, for that matter), the ECU will use these fuel trims to try and get the mixture such that the O2 sensor is 'swinging' again.

So while I am NOT saying that your O2 is duffed, though it could be, you really could be running that rich/lean.
