Code 23 problems
Well when driving today for about 15 miles my check engine light came on so I read the ecu and got code 23 from the blinks (obd0). Well I searched on the ecu code list and found that code 23 is a knock indicator.
What I dont understand is why it would trigger this after my engine is already full warmed up. I put 3 bottles of a product called HEET in my tank to try and help pass emissions, but it did not help at all.
I figured the HEET could have caused the check engine light as I added it when I was low on gas(to concentrate in the gas and have more going to my engine). But after I filled it up with 89 octane and started it the light came on again for the same code. I am totally clueless on what to do as my jdm crx w/b16 manual doesnt even list a code 23. Also just to add VTEC still engages. That is th only code displayed and the car still runs normally.

check here, its for obd1 but you'll still see how to test it

you should have an output to install a knock sensor. install the knock sensor and wire it to the ecu in the spot of b-19 if problem still occurs try another ecu. i got the jumper harness and put a p28 it doesn't list knock sensor.
