So, through this 'learning' experience of yours, would you suggest to the newb's that a multimeter and a Helms would have saved a lot of time, effort and swearing?
hate to say it...but my Haynes (cringe) got me though just fine. now a multimeter would have been really nice...too bad there was one in the tool box the whole time i was working on it. hind sight is always 20/20
Funny I have the same code right now...what were the symptons of when you had the code? My car seems to sputter a bit after 5k...its odd I cant explain it.
Btw what wires did u fix?

i was actually trying to install my secondary o2....so i just pulled those wires then the problem went away. i had surging at low rpms(like right before i would depress the clutch when coming to a stop), very high idle(just about 1100), and the constant smell of fuel...which i still have right after starting it. i'm not sure what running that rich can do but i am assuming i have to change my plugs and maybe even my fuel filter.
