is this the IAT?

this is an 00 b16...its below the upper left hand side of the valve cover...about 4-5 inches down. i am throwing a code 10 and i found a local dealer who had one so i picked it up. is there anything i need to watch out for when changing it out? thanks in advance for any tips.
damn it...so much for these dealership guys
(nothing personal). i told him i needed a IAC sensor and that is what he gave me. so does anyone have the part number for an IAC sensor for an 00 b16? also if anyone knows this, when you get the new IAC sensor is it just the small part that fits into the intake tube? or does it also have the wires and everything attached to it?

That is the thermoswitch for the radaitor fans. The IAT (intake air temperature) sensor is usually white and is in the intake manifold. Or the intake tube on some Civics.

If you said IAC, you will not get the right part either. The IAC(V) goes on the back of the intake manifold. It controls your cold engine idle and such.

You are right. If you don't have the intake air temperature (IAT) hooked up, you will throw code 10.
I hope this helps.

If its hooked up, you either had a bad sensor or bad connection somewhere.
