Definetly ACT street/strip clutch. We have that on one of our Si's. It is nice. And in the process of buying another one for the other Si. You won't be sorry. Guaranteed.

How bout you step up and get some REAL motor work done,,,,, then come back. Tell ur mom to hike ur allowance up a bit so that u can afford to play with the big boys, if not then u could just try ur local AutoZone.

You realize that people that remark like that are just looking for attention. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Even if he was getting an "allowance" so what. Not everyone is lucky like most of us to have nice things.

But yes, like I said earlier... stick with the ACT. You don't need the full racing one yet so start small. The one we have is perfect for street driving, and kick *** on the strip.

ACT HD pressure plate with a 6-puck disk... Has a pedal slightly heavier than stock and will hold the power of launching with slicks etc... That's what I would go with... If you want more PP pressure and need more clamping power then I would go with an ACT Xtreme or Maxx Xtreme PP but those do have pretty heavy pedals.. I doubt you would need it unless you're really building and boosting your motor but Tiltons will hold the absolute most.. My friend's ACT Maxx Xtreme on his 506whp daily driven EK started slippin so he went with a dual disk Tilton and yea... hahaha It doesn't slip anymore... Just my $0.02

ACT HDSS

lightened flywheel too will be nice to throw on if you doing your clutch at the same time.

Thanks for the positive input i really appreciate it. Its not the money thats holding up my plans, its my time I have a little girl and she comes first! And yes I have asked my co-workers but unfortunatly I dont trust there opinion to much. I do have a couple of hook ups but it doent mean the clutch is best for my intentions; I would rather pay for something that will fit my needs then get a free piece of s$%^. Thanks again for all the great advice I think I will go with the ACT clutch.

I'm not sure if they've changed, but the ACT PP's I felt are a little too stiff on the the foot (Kills you in traffic!), but they do grab (which also sucks for daily drivability)
Go with ITR stuff
you'll be pleased

I've had this setup for about six months now and absolutely love it. It grips like hell for the track, but the engagement works like stock. Pedal effort is a little bit higher but I prefer a stiff clutch to a soggy one. All in all the entire ACT experience for me was completely positive. The only bad part was waiting for it to break in

I'm buying that same setup ACT HDSS clutch kit. It would have been with a lightened flywheel but the damn one I got was warped.... So I'm sticking with the stock one. With this clutch setup would a daily driver be better off with the stock flywheel with mild lightening or splurge and go for the aluminium lightweight one? Just a thought...

i guess ill be the first to recommend Clutch Masters .. for my allmotor set-up i have a stage 4 and the pedal is soft but grabs like no other..... i have under 200hp but my friend has the same clutch on his 400hp turbo car and it hooks just as well... i have no problem with this clutch besides on ACT u feel the power on ur foot and not on the road...... the only problem i see is that after extensive use it heats up and the pedal becomes softer but it still grabs as hard

I have an all ACT clutch, The Xtreme P plate, 6puck and the ACT fly wheel. The clutch has not broken but I can't say I like it, it's very unforgiving, driving around the streets you concentration is always on the clutch, the gear you are in and if the clutch is in out cuz good forbid you release the clutch with out rev matching it will send a shock wave through the car so harsh I sometimes wonder how my tranny holds up. I once dropped the clutch while rev matching, and well and when it dropped it felt like I was rear ended again, my glove box broke the latch got ripped out. I only got this clutch cuz my bro talked me into it, I regret it everyday, it's more like an ON switch than a clutch. It's good when racing though, but I don't race much.

I think a clutch masters stage 3 would also be a good option for you. Pedal feel is close to stock but holding power is improved upon greatly. Good luck.

I still say ACT I don't know what it is with some peoples engagement... Every ACT Xtreme/Maxx Xtreme pressure plated clutch that I have installed/driven doesn't have that problem... YES it takes a little getting used to and is a little bit harder on your thrust washers but if you need the extra holding power for a boosted car then you need it... The Tilton dual disk clutches have a little bit lighter pedal then the ACT Xtreme PP and they will hold back a lot more but you're talkin 3 times the price of an ACT... My friend has just been able to drive his GSR/EK after 4 months because I couldn't figure out what was rattling... After pulling apart the entired motor (head/block) it turned out to be the ******* gay *** aluminum CM flywheel... The main flywheel bolt holes ovalized allowing room for play even tho the bolts were at spec... Anyways my point is he had to get used to his ACT Maxx Xtreme plate again but it's still as smooth as ever and he's running a 4 puck disk... I'll tape his car from the inside this weekend under normal driving along with my other friend's B18C/EG running an ACT HD PP and 6-puck disk... Pedals are different, engagement is just as smooth, but the Maxx Xtreme plate will hold more... Just my $0.02 again

I don't know when did you get yours but I have mine for about 10k miles and all for daily driven too. I drive in stop and go traffic without any driveability problems everyday. it took me about less then a week to get use the firmer pressure plate feel.
