clutch master cylinder problem
anyone know anything about changing a cmc (clutch master cylinder)? I am chaging mine and running into problems. I put the new one in. opened the slave, hooked up a tube to a bottle. Pumped the pedal, kept doing this till it got a little hard and I didn't see any air bubbles in the tube. Filled the resevoir to the top, then closed the slave cylinder and pumped the pedal. Now the problem is it does not come back up. It goes down with some force, but stays down. What do i do?
My slave works, its brand new. The master cylinder is brand new. do i keep doing this till the pedal comes back up when i tighten the slave cylinder again. I don't understand why this is giving me so much trouble.

So you are waiting until you are done bleeding to close the slave bleeder valve?
Everytime the pedal comes back up, if the valve is open it will suck in air, I am pretty sure.
I always have a buddy help... Open when I put pressure on the pedal, and close the valve before I bring the pedal back up.

its fixed guys, thanks. I fixed it couple minutes after my friend came. The valve that goes into the CMC was not screwed in properly and was leaking out fluid...thats why it would get hard but eventually sink to the floor.
