a friend of mine just test drove my car and when he came back it wouldnt go into or go outta gear. It will go into gear when the car is off but not when its on. and when i put it in gear when the car is off then start it the car jumps. and its makin funny noises. is my clutch/pressure plate gone????

found out the prob....i took it out and one of the springs broke off from the clutch. what causes this? someone mis-shifting or something??

It could be the Clutch Slave Cylinder. I'm not sure what car you have, but with most Hondas its right infront and below the distributor.

 

its a 96 civic dx hatch wit gsr swap...i used the stock civic slave cylinder if that helps any.
