Default close gear ratio

What can I do to my LS tranny get to closer gear ratio (INSTEAD OF BUYING ANOTHER TYPE R TRANNY.. etc..)

Open the tranny case, replace all the internals, close case.

You're done.

change the final drive and gears 2-5.1 is basiclly the same as all the other trannys.

with all the $$ & work in converting your LS tranny's gears with that of B16A or ITR/CTR gears, you might as well buy a complete used hydro B16A or ITR/CTR transmission.

or you can keep your LS gearing and put a 4.785 final drive in. After doing this though, it won't match ratios of an ITR/CTR/B16A tranny....but at least it will be better than stock LS gearing! ....just a suggestion.

Depends on what you have access to.

they run about $250 in japan...but over here about $350-500
