Default chipping P08 ecu

i have a jdm d15b vtec ecu in my crx running off a p08 ecu. about a month or two ago i went to hyperducktuning and they had a whole article on chipping the jdm p08 ecu. now they have changed their website and i can't find any info with pics about chipping my ecu. just wondering if anyone had a guide on how to chip this ecu because i know it has different locations for some of it's components.

thanks

Yeah, that's a very good ecu for converting to a P28. The only think you have to add is the O2 heater and chip it, it already has all the VTEC components. Do some reading on the PGMFI site, there is much to learn.

my question was basically where do i solder in the capacitors if my ecu is not already chipped from the factory or are all p08s ready to be chipped with a programmed eprom and skip everything else that is needed to chip a p28.

thanks for the response

You'll need to do the four wire O2 sensor conversion outlined here:

http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...ensor

Then you'll need to do the regular ECU chipping that you would do for any OBD1 ecu, explained farther down on this page:

http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...pping

i know that is completely wrong. i have been running this ecu for 6 months with my single wire o2 sensor. i am talking about chipping the jdm ecu not converting it to a shitty p28 that is not even ment for this motor. neverming i will figure this out myself. every person thinks i need to convert to a 4 wire even though it is not needed. i have a complete obd1 ecu with conversion harness and jdm d15b vtec. i think i know what i am doing.

Way to have a bad attitude. You asked for advice, sorry if you don't want it. The "shitty" P28 is meant for whatever you tune it for. If you put in hayabusa maps it would run a hayabusa. If you don't want to add an O2 header, horray, disable the O2 heater in the chip. I don't really understand why you're so hostile towards assistance now. Oh well, it's not my car, what do I know about this stuff anyway. Good luck.

i see the problem already. you are all from the east coast. nevermind. I don't mean no harm. sorry y'all. i stick to asking people from the west coast who can answer my question and not just throw out suggestions. peace. hmt.com is not full of haters either.

Yeah, you know I read somewhere that people on the west coast have a higher IQ than people on the east coast.

If you want any more than that, we can put you in a baby stroller and walk you around the internet showing you all the stuff you want. In the mean time, learn to not be so ignorant. If you really feel like you're justified in your position (which I suspect you do) do us all a favor and unplug your computer. Then you can go through life with all the gnarly west coast people without us right coasters interfering in your superiority.

holy ****. **** on CA have fun getting pulled over. You're obviously not will to learn and just want to thrown at you on a silver platter. Sell your car and ride your bike.

PS. I read that article and it tells you EXACTLY what to do. WTF don't you understand!?

Hey asswipe, I'm from CA, so by your logic I should know what I am talking about. Look at the link drdisco69 already posted here: http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...ensor and see in the lower middle of the page, yes, where it displays revision history, look at the user name.

He was trying to give you the best advice possible, so you would have the most complete conversion.

Did you know, that if you do the four wire o2 conversion, your car will reach closed loop operation sooner, and have improved fuel economy and reduced emissions?

I know the P08 inside and out, and because of your attitude towards others that I have tried to help, there is no way I will provide any useful info.

You may think you know what you are doing, but these posts prove otherwise.

How would you know. You have spent 11 hours and 6 minutes logged in at HMT and have not made a single post. Trust me, if you act like this over there, they will handle your *** in short order.
