Default checking for continuity PLEASE HELP

search and found lot of threads but none that really answered my question.

1. how do u check for continuity?
2. when u find the wires with continuity, do they connect to the red or the black wires from the resistor box?

please dont post links that lead me to another thread cause i have seen them all. they say do this and that but they're not clear as to Y.

On end on the injector plug power wire, other end on the wire that you trying to find continuity with (basically tracing the wire back). The end coming from the harness connects to the one black wire on the resistor box (usually people twist all 4 together and mate with the black wire). The other four wires go to the end going to the injector clips.
