These plugs are about 3k miles old, pretty new. My car sat unused for 1.5 weeks but I've been driving for a week since them, I don't think rust could accumulate in that amount of time especially during summer. I did a comp test and it was around 205 across the board.

I'm not sure if the red color is from extreme heat and if that would be cause by running lean or rich or detonation? any help peeps?

Damn thats crazy, the closest thing it looks like comparing it to the little plug picture graph is that its simply "worn" and says to replace with same heat range plug. I'd jus put some new ones in and check em occasionaly to see if it was just the plug or an engine condition.

Sure looks like rust and doesn't match any of these symptoms:

nah, you just got some bad gas. there isn't anything wrong with your engine..

stop filling up at the discount gas stations.

Looks like you added some octane booster or something similar, additives will cause the spark plugs to turn orange, red or brown
