If you're gonna go with a bigger engine then might as well get a b18c1, b18c5 or h22. B16 ain't nothing compared to them. We stay sohc because it's more of a challenge.

Its called difference of opinion. I've had a d-series motor and a b-series motor and I just don't like d-series motors and thats why I called them worthless. Maybe I should of said it different but I didn't. And the motor I showed you isn't a worthless piece of junk. All the motors have around 30,000 miles on them. Thats nothing for a honda engine.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

There is no way that motor only has 30,000 miles on it. Someone is lying to you. If you notice the one on that webpage goes for 3200 and it mentions specifically it was the newer one. That is more normal priced. The one you are looking at is out of an older Sol. You're going to tell me that a 10 year old Honda only has 30,000 miles on it? And yes, you can find 12 sec N/A D series. I could list OEM internals you could use to build a 13 sec all-motor D Series.

alright lets stop the whole d-series vs. b-series thing....does anyone know what kind of power i could make on with "panda ek's" d16y8 head put on a d16y8 block with i/e? the head is ported, 3 angle valve job, str cam gear, and jg turbo cam.

The turbo cam won't help with N/A power much, because of the small overlap. Maybe 120whp.

and yet ANOTHER response that strays completely away from the topic of the thread. I can't even count how many threads this is happening to. Do you guys come here just to fight, or to actually ******* say something about the topic? Then again, the question could be asked as to why this post was even started since it had no question or information associated with it whatsoever, so I guess until people stop starting useless threads like "check out how stupid this is", "how fast will my 1/4 mile times be", "where can I get a Wings West kit", "headlight fluid? where's the reservoir", and "my girlfriend left me, how many different ways should I be a whiny bitch about it", then people will continue to act like this and turn a thread into their own personal opportunity to make themselves look like they have a clue, when all they really want is attention and a chance to spout off about the latest nugget of information they learned from 'Import Tuner".
I can completely understand about correcting someone regarding inacurate information, but if someone's giving someone bogus info about something, is it so hard to correct them, state your source for why they're incorrect, and move on instead of sounding like a chiuaua with diarrhea of the mouth? You guys seriously need to bury this feud you all seem to have against eachother and either reply to a topic with something that can actually help the individual, or quite simply, shut the **** up. it's running its course with everybody; it's damn sure not just me that's getting sick of it.

...and this post you just made WAS related to the topic? Why don't you follow your own advice and stop being a whiny bitch yourself. I didn't see you give any useful information.

Until then, I guess i'll just have to turbo the rex

Matt, as much as I knock you for the D series, I must defend you against the B series lovers. There will always be a bigger engine and better alternative for power, get over it, he wants to keep his d16. With your logic why don't you just ditch the b16a and put a 5.0 engine into your car,it will have better bang for the buck and will perform better (rolls eyes).
