Default Looking to learn!! help

I am looking for a part-time automotive mechanic course in tri state area. It doesn't need to be a career developing course, it's more for my interest.

I know some of you will probably tell me to fool around with my car first. But I dont have a place where I can do this, and I also want to learn from the professional. So if you have any information, please give me some pointers.

If you have a garage around the area, and don't mind teaching me. I can work for free. probably 3 nites a week or something.

Thanks for looking.

I don't think there is any correlation between owning cars and knowing cars.
Now I don't know where you get the idea that I don't "know" cars, because knowing them and fixing them are two different things.

Please post useful information, thanks.
