Check Engine Light - Need Help!
I just got a code 43 (fuel supply system) check engine light on my 91 CRX DX today. I have a 96 B18B1 running 90-91 LS Non-OBD electronics - ecu, injectors, distributor. Would this be a problem with the fuel pump, lines, injectors or what? I know that the injectors have their own code 16 but I'm not sure to rule that out. I noticed that it isn't getting very good gas mileage, it runs strong but I guess something is wrong. What all should I troubleshoot for a code 43?
I had a code 43 in my civic DX with a b18a (92) and I chaged my fuel filter 1st and it stopped throwin the code for a while but then it started a again. It usaually only comes on when I am driving at a constat speed for a while ex. highway but I was bored one day and cleaned my TB and since then it has not come on I know this should not make a diff but hell it hasnot come on since then. I have had this car and my 92 CX do this too They both have run strong with no other problems so I am not too worried.
Are there any specifics on what to troubleshoot to figure out why it threw the code? The fuel filter I have is new when I did the swap, which was only a few weeks ago.
I am not really sure. Maybe the fuel pump, since you did a swap for dpfi to mpfi maybe some wires are not connected good. Hell so many people have had this same CEL I dont know what the deal is with it. DOes it always come on???
