Default NEED HELP ABOUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PLEASEEEE....

i got a 96 civic hatchback with a gsr block and b16 head and an obd 1 p72 ecu... recently after driving it for like 5-10 mins my check engine light comes on but the car is still driving fine also when i turn the engine off then start it back up light goes off then when driving it again it turns back on... this is really gettin to me n i dont knoe what to do if someone can help me out pleaseeee....

Sounds like a knock sensor. Jump the CEL self diagnostic wires and report blinks.

its 23 is it the knock sensor?

23 is knock sensor. its at the top of the block above the oil filter directly below the head. should have a green connector and 90% they are all interchangeable. you may have to wire it in if you have not done so its only one wire.

thanks man i found it and i got one for a b16 ones.... what are the steps to take it off or do i just unscrew it or drain anything?

nothing to drain just unscrew it and put the other one in and plug it up.

ohh iite but they told me to drain the coolant then unplug it... is it true
