Default Check engine Light

Sup ppl. Got a engine code on my car for the knock sensor. the question is... B/c the check engine light is on with it put my car in somewhat of a "LIMP mode"... Like not working to it full pontential... Also where is the Knock sensor @ on a JDM B16A2

The knock sensor is located under the intake manifold, above the oil filter, and has a single wire going to it. Don't confuse it for the oil pressure sensor, which is beside the oil filter.

With the check engine light on, the ecu is not in it's full limp mode, which is quite depressing, but instead in a "safe" mode, where it enriches the fuel a little and pulls back a little timing.

Check your wiring, and make sure it's screwed in tight, it's sensitive to vibration.

and if the problem continues switch to a P28 ecu chiped to activate VTEC without a knock sensor
