i got damage knok sensor would that cause vtec not to engage n make revs cut at 6500 rpm??

 

are you throwing a check engine light?

 

Yes it will cause it to go in limp mode. just replace it.

 

no engine light

 

Well it will typically throw a code, and it is a costly repalcement for a stupid mistake (well in my case at least) I think the cheapist I could find one was 135 if I remember right. Driving around in limp mode sucks a big one.
