Default Charcoal Canister

I recently purchased a longblock with out the charcoal canister. I live in West Virginia where we do not have smog laws. Can I plug the hole in the back of the block? Or do I have to run a Charcoal Canister or get CEL's? If I can plug the hole what is the best way to do this? TIA

the hole in the back of the block is for the factory oil accumulator/catch can. You will want to keep this or run an external catch can. I have a factory piece available...

you can just leave it out, if there's no emission **** there.

just plug it in filter of some sort, or better a catch can.

just like the car's in 70's, open system

i would recomend keeping the factory system or running an external, otherwise it will leak oil out from the blowby, and btw, pcv systems were manditory by 1969 so the 70's were closed systems.
