CEL Six wont go away!!!!!!
Im throwing cel code 6 (engine coolant temperature sensor) so I replaced the sensor and I went to check the code using my stock cx ecu and its gone, but when I put any of my two chipped p28s in its trips the code again, I cant handle this I swear im just going to sell my car and be done with it
follow every step on here and you will find your problem.

(ECU reset is basically remove battery ground for a few minutes, same as pulling the ECU)

you checked the Helm, did you go through the entire procedure step-by-step to check for wiring posibilities? (the reason I posted it)
the P05 and P28 should check for the ECT sensor the same, all though you may have an intermittent open issue that only shows itself when you swap ECUs.
Have you tried the P28s in someone elses car? Your P28s could simply have issues with your car. (electrically, not anything personal)
do the P28s pop the code right away when you switch on the ignition or after a little bit of driving?
what about the P05?

this is really strange since the P05 and P28 should be internally identical on this circuit.
Have you tried the P28 on a different car?
just a thought... you may have a wiring issue that the P28s are pointing out and your P05 is broken.

I had blown my cooling fan fuse back when everthing first happened and have since replaced it, but maybe a wire got shorted or something.... were going over wiring in school right now so ill go at it with the multimeter here really soon....
hey, just an idea, the ect plug and vtec oil pressure switch are right next to eachother, and they both plug in the same(same plug)and if you plug them wrong, the cel code 6 will come on. try switching the two plugs. I went through like 3 ect sensors before noticing that i switched the plugs lol

Good luck with your ECU. Its got to be something simple.

I recently got a new header and exhaust so I figured I start my car to see how they sound, and to my surprise Code 4 (crank position sensor) pops so after some research I find that sometimes code 4 can somehow trip as a code 6 or something weird like that anyways looks like I need a new dizzy... and also a job
