Default CEL On, No Codes, No Start

'92 Civic Si. Stock. One day its running, the next day its not. CEL does not go off, does not blink. ECU and ACG fuses are ok. Main Relay ok, but I don't hear the fuel pump firing. Followed the Helms troubleshooting all the way to the point where I'd have to connect a test harness. I don't have a test harness. I don't have a spare ECU.

Bad ECU? I'd like to hear the likeliest scenario from those who have experienced an always on CEL with no start.

Sometimes electronis go bad too. Just open the ecu. If you see anything burned it probably dead.

if there is no blinking and u say no 'code'. That code is a bad ecu.

no personal experience, but I was told that a fuel pump will not throw a code.

No power to the fuel pump, but relay was just fine. ECU was simply bad. One day it ran, the next day it didn't. The good folks at Import Auto Salvage in NC shipped me an ECU and I stuck it in today. Car was always a little hesitant to start before, but it started and ran today better than it ever has. I sniffed the old ECU after taking it out, and it smelled burnt.
