Default CEL code 1456?

Anyone know what this is? And does anyone have any further information regarding causes and solutions.

Thanks

C'mon Katman...I know you've heard of "P" codes before. If it is a "P" code, I'm not sure of what it is though....only saying that its a possibility.

P1456 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (Fuel Tank System)

This is the one you get when you forget to tighten the gas cap. But there's other things that can cause it, too.

Bad gasket on the gas cap, so it's not airtight? Basically, anything that can cause your gas tank to be NOT airtight. There's gaskets around the openings for the fuel pump or gas gauge sender. There's a bunch of tubing connections, including the filler pipe, EVAP system connections, gas tank pressure sensor fitting, fuel return hose from the FPR, probably a bunch more, too.

They're OBD-II codes. That's what you get when you plug in a fault code reader, like they do at AutoZone. For each Pnnnn code, there's a flashing-CEL code that corresponds to it. But sometimes 4 or 5 Pnnnn codes are all represented by the same flashing-CEL code, so the Pnnnn codes are more specific.

Just depends on which method you use to read the fault code.
