Looking at this page, a code 63 is for JUST the secondray O2 sensor.

The ECU ran its monitor for the 2nd O2 and found that yours was heading south.

On a stock engine, the 2nd O2 gives an indication of how healthy the catalytic converter is working. During normal driving, as the catalytic converter is USING O2 to do its job, the 2nd O2 should be showing a rich condition....or a voltage up around .8V.

If the ECU sees that the 2nd O2 is oscillating like the 1st, then to the ECU, the converter is taking a dive.

So without knowing what kind of waveform your O2 simulator is putting out....does it at least mimmick (sp?) what a stocker would do?

It works but code 67 means ctalyst system, code 63 means secondary o2 and air intank temp..so i think i have the air intank problem...but yeah it works..i know of 3 people who have it.

I posted a link to an ECU Codes page....I do NOT see any indication of intake air temp related to the 2nd O2 sensor code. If you know different, could you please post a link to your source?

(sp?) = spelling, as in, I might have spelled it wrong.

Also, if the simulator is only outputting .8V all the time, then its not simulating very well. On a decel condition, both O2's go dead lean [stock anyway]...if your sim is still putting out .8V....to the ECU, this doesn't seem LOGICAL.

OBD-II introduced this strategy of verifying sensor rationality. For example, does it make sense to be doing 60mph, and during a decel condition, with throttle completely closed, the MAP sensor 'should' read high vacuum...instead its reading low (which is a high voltage). The voltage value is still within spec...but its not rational according to the other sensor inputs.

The map air intank temp i got from teamintegra.net...it lists cel 63 also as that. but i haven't had time to do much research on it. i thought that it might be my intanik becuase of my missing link, i heard people have a problem with that unit. For now i'm going to hang up the secondary o2 wraped in foil and see what happens. That daam CEL light is really starting to annoy me......Keep me updated EE_Chris on any other thoughts, comments, or info..thanks for you help.

Does that really work? Wrapping the o2 sensor in aluminum foil?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I just checked Team-Integra.net and on there ECU Codes page, they ONLY list 63 as the 2nd O2. I'm not quite sure where you saw this on there site, but lets just go ahead and say that its ONLY got to do with the 2nd O2.

Not sure about the tin-foil method....just have to try it out.

I'm sure i'm not seeing things but ok..i'm glad code 63 is only o2!! ...and about the tin foil, it works, but i used plastic wrap and zip tied it to my sway bar...so good luck! I fuggin hate obd2!!!!

yes that works. Wrap it in foil and zip tie it to your shift linkage rod so it doesn't hang around.

Shift linkage moves around...so i put it on my sway front sway bar...(ITR) But use ur judgement..but tin foil, gotta love it!

All o2 sensors are universal, so just go to a muffler shop and ask for a screww to plug it up....prolly get it for free, its like a 1/2, but i forgot the pitch and all that..or you can try home depot
